With a new project organization, AP&T has strengthened its ability to deliver complete sheet metal forming solutions with a focus on reduced cost of ownership for the customer.
Rooted in a tradition of proud machine builders, AP&T has been delivering high quality equipment for sheet metal forming for fifty years. Today the company is a global player and a majority of the projects are complete production lines for advanced forming where the single machine is part of a complex solution that delivers a function to our customers.
Part of the project organization gathered in the new development and production facility in Ulricehamn, Sweden. “To achieve excellence we not only need knowledge and engineering skills, we also need the ability to make sure that the intended scope is met throughout the project,” says Max Brandt, director of customer projects at AP&T.
A project manager is involved early in the sales process to support a flawless handover after the deal is closed. The project manager is responsible for the entire scope of the project until it is handed over to customer relations at Aftermarket Services.
The project manager is supported by a cross-functional organization that is focused on delivering value to the project. This means that all projects are corporate projects and that project management to an even greater extent than before has become a core competence area for AP&T.
