Göppingen/Stuttgart, November 9, 2023 – A hotline staffed 24/7, support for both Schuler’s own brands and third-party products, 40 locations worldwide and the largest spare parts warehouse of its kind: Schuler Service now wants to make all these advantages even better known with a completely new appearance. Executive Vice President Torsten Petrick presented the revised brand at the Blechexpo trade fair in Stuttgart.

“Our more than 750 employees are always close to our customers and ensure maximum system availability all over the world,” explained Petrick, who heads the Service Division. “We have access to the original drawings of presses from over 15 different brands, all of which today belong to Schuler, and therefore we have the greatest expertise on the market.” Accordingly, the motto is: “A service made for you”.

Together with the new machine business, both Schuler’s order backlog and sales after the first nine months are above the already very successful previous year: “We have thus managed to decouple ourselves to some extent from the general industry trend,” said Petrick. “Schuler continues to develop positively.”

For example, a renowned car manufacturer in Germany placed an order for a pilot line for the assembly of solid-state batteries, the successor to the lithium-ion batteries currently in widespread use. The project incorporates Schuler’s expertise in forming technology and battery cell production, which Schuler acquired through the takeover of the Italian Sovema Group a year ago.

At the same time, new vehicle manufacturers all over the world are pushing into the market to produce electric cars. “And they are relying on Schuler’s expertise and experience,” explained Torsten Petrick. The order for a state-of-the-art digital press shop comes from the Middle East, for instance. The scope of supply includes two press lines, a tryout press and a laser blanking line. In addition, various applications from Schuler’s “Digital Suite” will be used to increase the availability, flexibility, and productivity of the systems as well as their energy efficiency.
