At MMMA we’re proud to be supporting the metalforming industry, providing advice, guidance and support on everyday issues so our members can thrive in today’s global marketplace. We regularly share our member’s news and updates with our audience; to showcase the positive work they’re doing in the manufacturing and engineering sectors. This month we caught up with Raybould Machine Tools, to find out more about the business and what they have been up to.
About Raybould Machine Tools Ltd.
Raybould Machine Tools Ltd are a family-owned business who have been trading for over 50 years, specialise in the supply, purchase and disposal of new and used manufacturing equipment from single machines to complete factory clearances offering Asset Disposal Solutions for all types of industrial equipment.
Case Study – Supply of Hursan Hydraulic Presses
Raybould Machine Tools are proud to have recently been involved with one of the U. K’s leading and largest pressings company with the supply, installation and commissioning of three new Hursan hydraulic presses manufactured in Turkey.
In the last 12 months, RMT were asked to offer a solution for the supply of three new presses to be used in the manufacture of EV battery cells. Their customer also spoke with a number of other press suppliers to look at all the options available to them and after due diligence and investigations into the different machines their customer decided the ‘best fit’ in an overall package were the three new Hursan hydraulic presses RMT were offering. A big deciding factor was that Hursan press would purpose build each press to meet with the customer exact requirements rather than a standard machine that most others were offering.
The three new Hursan machines have recently been final commissioned by the Raybould Machine Tools engineers together with Hursan at their customers factory and now the automation will be installed and integrated into a state-of-the-art robotised manufacturing line.
In today’s fast-paced manufacturing environment, keeping press equipment updated is critical to staying competitive, especially as automation becomes more prevalent. Outdated presses can hinder production efficiency and may not fully integrate with advanced robotic systems, leading to costly downtime and inefficiencies. By investing in modern hydraulic presses, like the Hursan models, companies can ensure their machinery is optimised for automated workflows. These presses not only offer customisation to meet specific production needs but also enhance the overall efficiency of automated lines, reducing operational costs and increasing output consistency. Upgrading to state-of-the-art equipment ensures manufacturers are well-positioned for the future of automation in industry.
